No Shortage of Talent on Team South Carolina
 

 
USSSA Team SC is proud to announce the first team participants for 2009!  Congratulations to a very talented group of kids!  One hundred and sixty one participants tried out for the eight teams on
October 31 and on November 21. This was a success and a building block for years to come.  
 
Every participant was evaluated and will now be in the Amateur Baseball Report tem.  This will allow ABR to track the career and development of each player and assist in determining the capabilities of each participant.  The Amateur Baseball Report South Carolina site will to post articles, rankings and other important information that will be anxiously anticipated by all USSSA participants, coaches, scouts and recruiters. www.amateurbaseballreport.com
 

 
 
 
 
USSSA Team SC 2009 will be competing in Lexington, SC on December 5th and 6th as a tune up for the Winter World Series event in Kissimmee, Florida.  Each first team participant will need to go to www.abooma.com/kadabasports and register for the 5th and 6th event as well as the December 27th to December 30th event.  The teams will be able to communicate via AboomA as pictures, videos, team rosters and contact information will be on the AboomA site. 

 

PAYMENT:    All First Team participants must pay $125 to Kadaba Sports via Check, to 107 Legion Plaza Road, Columbia, SC 29210 on or before December 4th 2009.   Each player participating in the tournament on December 5th and 6th will need to pay $30 to participate in that tournament.  Those funds can be paid at the event.  If you do not participate in that tournament, there will be no cost only people playing in the tournament.

 

PRACTICE: The coach and the teams’ participants will decide team practices.  Practices will be voluntary and not mandatory and if teams decide to practice it will be only once or twice before going to Kissimmee.

 

FUTURE TOURNAMENTS:  The 2009 teams will participate as USSSA Team SC 2009 in two tournaments in the fall of 2010.  Each team will participate in the age group above their current age level.  Example:  USSSA Team SC 10U will play 11U in the fall of 2010. 

 

REGISTER FOR TOURNAMENTS:  EVERYONE must register if you can participate in the 5th and 6th event.  If you cannot participate, you will be able to attend the event December 27th through December 30th.   If a First Team participant cannot attend we will be extending an offer to Second Team participants to play in this event.  Register at www.abooma.com/kadabasports

 

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS:  Hotel arrangements, scheduling, etc. for the December 27th through December 30th event will be available on Friday, December 4th.   Participants and families will be responsible for all lodging, food and travel.

 

 AWARDS:   Winners that have not received their award can pick up at the December 5th and 6th event in Lexington.  If you cannot attend this event, we will make other arrangements.

 

RINGS:  USSSA Team South Carolina Rings will be awarded in Florida at the 27th –30th event.  Please review the posted roster information and notify me immediately if the ring size or shirt size is wrong.

 

UNIFORMS:  USSSA Team SC First Team participants will receive two uniform tops and a hat for the winter world series event in Florida.  Each participant will need to wear the USSSA Team South Carolina T-Shirt that was provided for the tryout for the 5th and 6th event.  All participants will be responsible for Gray Pants, Black Belt, and Black Socks for the Florida event.  Uniform tops will be ready and available for the Kissimmee event.

 

USSSA Team SC – 2010 will have tryouts in June of 2010.  The tryouts will be a two-day event during the week on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Dates will be announced in January.  There will be three different age groups 10 – 12, 13- 15, and 16 – 18.  There will be a one-day event held in July for any participants that cannot attend the tryout events posted.  Team announcements will be made the first of August 2010.

 

Future Events:  Kadaba Sports and ABR will be offering many specialty camps and clinics throughout the year.  The 14, 15 and 16-year age group will be able to compete in events to become a USSSA All-Americans.  Elite camps and clinics will be offered to AA and better players wanting to receive professional instruction at the highest level possible.  These events will be posted by December 31, 2009.
